An individual performing the role of a Technical Sales Specialist focuses on identifying, designing and converting requirements of internal functions, business development strategies, IT processes and technologies into a solution proposal that ultimately supports the project deliverables on a client project.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Bachelors Degree in an IT or Engineering related field
3-5 years of solid experience in the field of Technical sales or Pre-Sales
Own transport and up to date driver’s license
Experience with: SOA techniques; Web technologies and leveraging UX frameworks; Configuring and managing enterprise service bus and service registries; Modelling Service architectures; Use Case development; Author High-level Designs;
Some software development background or experience working for a software company.
Experience in bespoke software sales is advantageous.
Excellent business process and/or project experience using tools such as Visio, Word, TFS and SCRUM, Visual Studio, and any relational database system tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues
Technical aptitude to gain proficiency with SQL Server, Power BI, TCP/IP Protocols; LAN/WAN and Security design; Windows/Linux basics; Understanding of high availability methods/protocols/designs; Cloud computing solution design.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Technical aptitude and a high degree of self- motivation
Excellent business process and best practices experience or aptitude
Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to build effective customer relationships
Works with user groups or teams to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals
Requires high level of diverse technical experience related to studying and analysing systems needs, systems development, systems process analysis, and design
Possess specialization in a particular software or business application utilized in an end user environment
Transforms user stories, business rules, and other requirements into solution designs and help project teams understand and execute the design.
