Job Description
Reporting directly to the Head of IT the resource will be primarily in charge of the management and operations of the data centre and Network. Take responsibility for the physical security, on-going support, maintenance, performance and uptime of the Data center centre and ensure network connectivity uptime.

Main Responsibilities
Administer organization’s servers, storage, network, virtualized environment & allocation of resources according to the change management policy.
Monitor all Servers, storage, and network infrastructure to ensure reliability, continuity and availability of hardware and software resources including OS level ensuring minimum resources downtime to the business.
Ensure compliance of all IT policies and security standards (both Software and Physical) with regards to Backup, Archiving & Replication. These should be documented & kept up to date
Administer the infrastructure working on existing technologies Oracle VM, VMware Sun Solaris Cisco & EMC storage, Microsoft Servers & Hyper-V, Linux servers & HP servers. All are technologies hosted in our datacenters and Network devices in Primary and Secondary site.
Manage and maintain the company’s Servers, Storage, Network and ensure Backup process systems is in accordance with the ICT policy.
Manage, Document, and maintain the organisation’s DRP plan and perform regular DRP drill.
Administer EMC Data domain, Networker, Recover Point, and all Network devices to fully operationalize DR site and ensure efficient data/storage replication.
Responsible for primary & secondary data centers servers/storage and Network uptime.
Managing assigned Servers/ storage/ Network and data center projects to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
Manage [email protected] infrastructure
To perform any other duties as maybe assigned by the head of department
Academic/Professional Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE & MCSA)
Oracle Solaris Certified Associate
Cisco Certified Network Professional
